When it comes to food production there is a big push for producers and consumers to go organic.

It's happening across the globe, and the Pacific is no stranger to its impact.

Those efforts have now received a boost with a new memorandum of understanding which will help those growers wishing to go organic develop their own standards and certifications.

Leading its push is the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Community, or as it's known POETCom. Coordinator, Karen Mapusua, started by explaining who's involved.

Presenter: Campbell Cooney
Speaker: Karen Mapusua, POETCom coordinator
