Guam patients may be able to go to Philippines

Medicaid services in Guam may expand its services to foreign hospitals.

A statement from the governor's office says patients who are registered with the federal health benefit program may be able to go to the Philippines for services like heart surgery and hip replacements.

The Department of Public Health and Social Services expects approval from the Publich Health bureau within a matter of months.
