High tides cause flooding in Majuro in the Marshall Islands

Residents of Majuro in the Marshall Islands are battening down for this evening's high tide after big swells overnight inundated the southern side of the atoll.

Authorities spent the morning repairing roads and clearing the airport of debris from the two-metre waves.

As Timothy Pope reports the Majuro weather office says this week's super-moon is partly to blame.
