Human Rights Day: Pacific needs to ratify treaties, UN says

Today is the United Nations' International Human Rights Day.

To mark the occasion, a set of tool has been launched to help Pacific countries protect and promote human rights.

Simone Troller, the UNDP Pacific Centre's Regional Human Rights Adviser, says there has been much progress in recent years, but some nations are still reluctant to sign up to UN treaties.
