Delegates at the International Horticulture Congress underway in Brisbane are using the gathering as an opportunity to exchange information on better ways of operating in their home countries.

Among the sizeable Pacific delegation are members of the Pacific Islands Farmer Organisation Network.

The Network's manager, Kyle Stice, is presenting a paper entitled "The past, present, and future role of Pacific Island farmer organisations in empowering rural people to take advantage of economic livelihood opportunities".

Mr Stice says it underscores what's being done to improve the exchange of agricultural information and expertise.

Presenter: Richard Ewart

Speaker: Kyle Stice, Pacific Islands Farmer Organisation Network
