International police effort behind PNG drug bust

The police in Papua New Guinea are confident that a major drugs bust in the country will have a damaging impact on the operations of an international syndicate.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Simon Kauba says his officers were part of a police chain that stretched from the UK to the Pacific, and involved tracking 50 kilos of methamphetamines worth an estimated eight million US dollars.
