Updated 21 August 2012, 8:55 AEST

Vanuatu's prime minister, Sato Kilman and opposition leader, Serge Vohor are today taking part in a unique event to increase dialogue between politicians and voters ahead of the National Election later this year.

Both leaders will appear on Face to Face sessions, hosted by the Pacific Institute of Public Policy, at Parliament House in Port Vila.

A national audience at Parliament and from every province will be able to put questions directly to the Prime Minister and to the Leader of Opposition on the important policy issues affecting the entire country.

Derel Brien, CEO of the Pacific Institute of Public Policy says today's activities are part of a larger plan to make politicians more accessible to voters.
