Kiribati examines tourist potential for Phoenix Islands

The Kiribati government is today sending a second team to survey the Phoenix Islands Protected Area, or PIPA.

They'll join a group that set out last week in studying the effects of climate change, tourism and other development on what is one of the largest marine protected areas in the world, covering more than 400,000 square kilometres.
