Kiribati reviewing tertiary scholarships but funding tight - Tong

The President of Kiribati has responded to claims that up to 200 students have not been offered tertiary scholarships this year because there too little money to go round.

During a visit to Melbourne, Anote Tong has also answered allegations that Kiribati sold passports to suspected arms dealers from North Korea

On the scholarship question, students have written to Mr Tong urging him to increase the number of awards, but the President says his government has to manage its resources very carefully.
