Legends game boosts PNG's bid for a spot in the NRL

The weekend clash between past greats from Papua New Guinea and Australia in the Legends of League Challenge ended in a victory for the Kumuls, and produced a sizeable boost for the campaign to get a PNG team into the NRL.

Brad Tassell, the chief executive of the PNG NRL Bid, says the match was a big success, and he expects many of the visiting Australian players to be pushing Papua New Guinea's case in the months and years ahead.
