It is yet to be put to the test but Mangaia Harbour in Cook Islands is now considered to be more climate resilient.

In 2005 the harbour was devastated by two cyclones, Meena and Nancy, but with the help of computer modelling it's now stronger, more durable and safer for local fishermen.

Paul Maoate is an engineer at Infrastructure Cook Islands, and worked on the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change Project, and he explains the improvements.
