A regional database to store and manage information on mangroves across the Pacific is almost finished.

The Pacific Mangrove database, or PacMan, will be trialed initially in five countries.

Vainuupo Jungblut, the Ramsar Officer from Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program, SPREP, says the database is being finalised ready for launch later this week.
