Manus cop dismisses Australian riot report

Updated 11 June 2014, 17:48 AEST

The man leading the police investigation into the fatal riots at the Manus Island detention centre says the recent Australian report into the incident is "very shallow" and does not get to the bottom of who killed asylum seeker Reza Berati.

Manus Island Provincial Police Commander Alex N'drasal says his team is working around the clock to investigate the violence in February.

But he cannot give a time frame for when the investigation will be completed.

Wesley Manuai spoke to Commander N'Drasal and began by asking him about Australian funding for a new police station on Manus Island.
