Marshall Islands hosts 18th Micronesian Chief Executives summit

Updated 29 November 2012, 11:32 AEDT

Two regional meetings and an Asian Development Bank report are dominating headlines in Marshall Islands.

The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission will hold its annual meeting in Manila next week.

That will be watched closely by Marshall Islands, as will the 18th Micronesian Chief Executives summit, which kicks off in Majuro today.

However, both of those stories have had to share column space with a new Asian Development Bank report showing that state-owned enterprises in the Marshall Islands lost $US70 million over the last nine years.
