Marshalls hope new Australian air link will boost tourism

Marshall Islands is hoping to attract greater numbers of visitors from Australia with the opening of an air link between Majuro and Brisbane next week.

The Marshall's government has agreed to subsidise Our Airline on a top-up basis to ensure the service breaks even.

It is also considering that government travellers use the service rather than fly with other carriers.
