Micronesia Challenge wins Oceanscape Leadership award

The conservation effort known as the Micronesia Challenge has been hailed as globally significant because of its regional scale and ambitious goal to establish protected areas.

The challenge is the commitment by the five Micronesian states to preserve natural resources seen as crucial to the survival of the Pacific.

And now William Kostka from the Micronesia Conservation Trust has been recognised for what's described as his pioneering work to finance the challenge with the annual Pacific Oceanscape Leadership award, which he has dedicated to all Micronesians.
