New book celebrates Tongan 'lakalaka' artform

A new book by one of the world's leading experts on Pacific dance celebrates a dance form that is integral to Tongan culture.

The Lakalaka is an art form that consists of poetry which is sung and accompanied by dance. It's considered unique and in 2003 UNESCO declared it to be part of the "intangible heritage of humanity".
