New Queensland pineapple tastes like coconut

Australian researchers in south-eastern Queensland have developed a new coconut-flavoured pineapple through cross-pollination and hybridisation.

Garth Sanewski, a senior horticulturalist with the state's Department of Agriculture, says the new variety will be released over the next two years.
