New Zealand's High Court hears Kiribati climate change refugee case

An overstayer from Kiribati is asking the New Zealand High Court to grant him permanent residence as a climate refugee.

IoaneTeitoa has lived in New Zealand for six years, most recently as an illegal immigrant after his work visa expired.

Dr Michael Kidd explains what he asked the High Court to grant his client.
