NGO group in PNG has an online petition to save historical caves

A local NGO group in Papua New Guinea is calling for signatures online, from around the Pacific and the world, to protect a number of historic caves in the country's East Sepik province from mining exploration.

The group Partners With Melanesians has collected over 500 signatures so far and is calling for more in an effort to stop the PNG government granting an exploration license to an Australian subsidiary of Asian logging giant Rimbunan Hijau.
