American Samoa's governor-elect is to be inaugurated in a no-frills ceremony in January.

Lolo Matalasi Moliga, who begins his four-year term on January 3, says there's been no budget allocation to cover the cost of the inauguration so he's asked the inauguration committee to stage the event with minimum cost.

Presenter: Geraldine Coutts
