New Zealand are on their way to the World Cup Finals in Canada after defeating Papau New Guinea 3-0 to win the OFC Under-20 Women's Championship in Auckland.

The Football Ferns took an early lead, but after that they were made to fight hard, and only sealed the match with two very late goals.

In the battle for third place, Tonga took the honours, defeating Vanuautu 4-0.

New Zealand coach Aaron McFarland says the PNG side put up a stiff challenge.
