OSCE reports progress in recovering MH 17 bodies in Ukraine

It's been a painfully slow wait for the identification of the remains of those who died on Malaysian Airlines flight MH17.

Independent European monitors in Ukraine have told the ABC that in the last 24 hours, there's finally been some progress and co-operation amid the chaos in recovering the bodies, including those of the 37 people who called Australia home.

The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe has a Special Monitoring Mission in place in Ukraine.
