Pacific Islanders outweigh Europeans in NZ obesity

New Zealand is getting fatter.

New figures from the Ministry of Health show three in every 10 adults are considered to be obese.

And Pacific Islanders fair even worse, with nearly 7 out of 10 in the obese classification.

Jim Mann, professor of human nutrition and medicine at Otago University says He told Richard Ewart the new figures are depressing rather than surprising.
