A workshop is being run in Fiji this week for Pacific Island nations, aimed at getting children involved in climate adaptation.

Pacific in Community Development Fiji and People's of the South Pacific International have partnered with PLAN Australia to run the workshop.

They want community, district, provincial and national authorities to include children in their climate change planning.

PLAN Australia's disaster risk manager Suresh Pokharel is in Fiji for the workshop.

Pacific Beat asked him how to get children interested in climate change action and what they can do.

Presenter: Geraldine Coutts

Speaker: Suresh Pokharel from PLAN Australia
