The big soccer match in the Pacific this week is the World Cup showdown between New Zealand and New Caledonia in Dunedin on Friday night.

But as something of a curtain raiser, the stars of the future will be in action on the opening day of the OFC Under 20 championships today.

New Zealand and New Caledonia line up in that tournament too, alongside Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, and the host nation Fiji.

Presenter: Richard Ewart

Speaker: Daniel Markham, Head of Communications, Oceania Football Confederation
