Pacific traditions boost message of major conservation summit

A traditional Fijian ocean going canoe is scheduled to sail into Sydney Harbour in November.

The Uto Ni Yalo is the flag ship of the Fijian voyaging sociaty, The Uto Ni Yalo Trust and will have taken about two months to make the crossing of the Pacific from Suva.

The ocean going canoe will be in Sydney to raise awareness about a major conference of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
