Palau's development back on course after Haiyan - Remengasau

The President of Palau says development is back on track in the country, after it was blown off course by debt and the impact of Typhoon Haiyan.

In his State of the Republic address, Tommy Remengesau has predicted steady economic growth over the next three years, but the Palauan people should brace themselves for the introduction of VAT, Value Added Tax.

To soften the blow, the President has pledged to deliver a better Internet service, while long standing problems with electricity supplies have already been addressed.
