PNG export revenue set to rocket over next 17 years

Earlier this week the Chief Executive of the ANZ bank made a speech to the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He talked about the huge potential and growth of the resources sector in PNG.

His statements were made on the back of a report that was prepared for the ANZ by consulting firm Port Jackson Partners.

The report estimates, the PNGs resource boom could see export revenues swell six-fold by 2030 to U.S $38 billion a year.

Angus Taylor is the Director of Port Jackson Partners, I caught up with him earlier and asked him how the information was assembled to create these projections for the resources boom in PNG?

Presenter: Geraldine Coutts

Speaker: Angus Taylor, Port Jackson Partners
