PNG governor wants refugee deal with Australia scrapped

A Papua New Guinea provincial governor says the national government should scrap its agreement with Australia over the resettlement of asylum seekers.

Oro province governor Gary Juffa accuses Australia of neo-colonialism and passing its international obligations on to PNG.

He says that by resettling asylum seekers, PNG might risk similar incidents to the Sydney attack.
