PNG teachers threaten strike over pay dispute

In Papua New Guinea, up to 45 thousand teachers are threatening strike action after months of ongoing pay disputes.

Many teachers are being underpaid or not paid at all.

The PNG Teachers Association is seeking approval for a strike, with the results expected later today.

Secretary general of the PNG Teachers Association, Ugwalubu Mowana expects strike action will be approved.
