PNG traditional food easier to grow than introduced vegetables

A important survey of Papua New Guinea's traditional food is underway across the country.

The study is being carried out by the PNG women in Agriculture in collaboration with Charles Darwin University in Australia's Northern Territory and PNG's National Agriculture Research Institute.

Heading the survey is Maria Linibi, President of the PNG women in agriculture. Maria has just completed her study of traditional foods in Rabaul, East New Britain province.

Caroline Tiriman asked her about the aim of the project.
