Polynesian bid for UN relisting may be resolved this week

French Polynesian, Oscar Temaru says he hopes to know by the end of this week whether the territory will be relisted on the United Nations decolonisation list.

Mr Temaru has travelled several times to New York to lobby for the relisting.

Pro-autonomy parties in French Polynesia claim there is not wide spread support in the community for the relisting.
