Polynesian voyagers sailing to Apia for the SIDS summit

The crew of the Polynesian Voyaging Society's Hokule'a and Hikianalia canoes have stopped in Rarotonga on the second leg of their Worldwide Voyage.

The voyagers are heading to Apia where they'll be during the Small Island Developing States summit beginning later this month.

They'll visit 85 ports in 26 countries around the world voyage before returning to Hawaii in 2017.

Watch-Captain and rescue swimmer Archie Kalea is on the Hikianalia, on the way to iTutakei from Rarotonga.
