Prince Charles thanks PNG for warm welcome

Prince Charles says the Commonwealth is based on friendship and relationships established over time.

Speaking at a State Dinner in Port Moresby the Prince of Wales thanked the people for their warm welcome yesterday and reminded the crowd that he made his first visit to Papua New Guinea almost 50 years ago.

The Prince and his wife Camilla wrap up their visit to PNG today and travel on to Australia.

In his speech to the State Dinner, Prince Charles said the Commonwealth was needed more today than ever.
