The Red Cross is providing psychological first aid in Tonga to victims affected by cyclone Ian that struck the group in January.

An experienced Australian Red Cross aid worker, Sue Sweeney, has just returned from Tonga, where she was training Red Cross volunteers across the country on mental health and how to provide personal support after disasters.

Ms Sweeney provided training at four locations including Ha'apai where the cyclone caused extensive damage.
