Reefs considered for inclusion as endangered species

Across the Pacific a number of public forums have begun, asking locals if coral reefs should be placed on the United States Endangered Species act.

The public consultations come after a petition was presented to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to address the ongoing threats to coral.
