On Monday's program this week we heard about a hospital in the Solomon Islands province of Temotu has been without a doctor for nearly a month, after the last remaining doctor serving there passed away.

The head of nursing at Lata Hospital says nurses are having to do everything for patients or fly them to Honiara, a process that can take up to a day and a half. Two other doctor posts at Lata have been standing vacant for the past six months.
