The issue of women's reproductive health rights is causing division at the annual UN Commission on the Status meeting in New York.

The conservative bloc spoke about a rollback on existing commitments to women's rights, peace and security including the right to development. The more progressive group want to move forward by focusing on development goals to overcome these challenges.

Executive Director of FEMLINK Pacific Sharon Bhagwan Rolls is in New York, she's also the recipient of the annual woman of distinction award.
