This weekend New Caledonia is hosting over 120 sailors from around the region in the Oceania Sailing Competition.

Competitors from Fiji, Wallis and Futuna, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere are taking part in a range of races, with competition beginning on Saturday.

As well as raising the standards of sailing in the French territory, the competition is also preparation for teams taking part in the 2015 South Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
