Shipping creates air pollution in regional waters

Australian Marine scientists have discovered that ship engine exhaust emissions cause approximately 30% of man made nitrogen oxide emissions in the Australian region.

This is the first time any study has looked closely at these emissions.

Laurie Goldsworthy is co-author of the paper and a senior research fellow at the Australian Maritime College.

James Carleton asked him to explain the findings.
