Social media, like blogs, Facebook and Twitter are getting bigger and more important around the world.

It was a key component in the Arab Spring and now some are arguing it should play a bigger role in the Pacific.

At a media and democracy symposium in Fiji today one of the papers looks at the problems that exist in traditional media forms in the Pacific.
