Solomon Islanders try to eradicate giant snail

The local farmers and the community in Solomon Islands are working with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in an effort to eradicate the Giant African Snails which proliferate in parts of the country.

Growing up to 30 centimetres long and weighing up to a kilogram, the snails are causing serious damage to local plant species and food gardens.
