Solomons moves to de-politicise top civil service appointments

The head of the Solomon Islands Public Service Commission is pledging to stop political meddling in the appointment of Permanent Secretaries.

Commission Chairman Eliam Tangirongo says new Performance Agreement Contracts will put a stop to illegal interference by politicians in the appointment and assignment of permanent secretaries.
