Updated 28 March 2013, 11:20 AEDT

An agenda for development post-2015 has been discussed in the Solomon Islands, with education, water supply, sanitation and food security all top priorities.

The UN and the Solomons' Ministry of Planning and Aid Coordination have voiced the findings of a national consultation involving more than 1,000 Solomon Islanders about the future they want to see.

At the top of the list was education, namely better access, better facilities and more job opportunities.

Presenter: Richard Ewart

Speaker: Akiko Suzaki, United Nations Development Programme Deputy Representative for Solomon Islands
