South Korea signals change of mind on whaling

A reported backflip by South Korea over its decision to carry out scientific whaling has been welcomed by Australian scientists and green groups.

A senior official from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Seoul told reporters yesterday that they are looking for other options to achieve their goal.
