SPC push to boost Pacific maritime safety standards

The drive to raise maritime safety standards in the Pacific has increased against the backdrop of recent accidents in PNG, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu and Kiribati.

The Secretariat of the Pacific Community is stepping up efforts to establish a regional approach to safety through its transport program, as its Maritime Security and Safety Advisor Alobi Bomo explains.
