Tonga sets priorities for cyclone relief and recovery assistance

In Tonga the government, relief officials, aid agencies and of course the people in the affected areas, are slowly coming to grips with what is needed to recover after Tropical Cyclone Ian.

Late yesterday the government laid out what they require in needs of assistance from its development partners. It's a move which falls short of approaching neighbouring nations like New Zealand and Australia to provide logistical help, but it does allow them, and others to provide assistance.
