Tongan doctor to study ultrasounds as part of Pacific leadership award

Dr Kolini Varea has been raising awareness of breast cancer in Tonga through screening programs.

His work has seen him named as a 2013 Greg Urwin leadership award winner presented by the Pacific Forum.

As part of his award Dr Varea will work at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, to improve his knowledge of ultrasound scanning.
