UN urges PNG to do more for disabled people

UN urges PNG to do more for disabled people

The UN has declared this coming Monday as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

But, in this day of equal opportunity facilities for the disabled still fall below acceptable standards in simple things like suitable wheelchairs and access to education, and several countries, including Papua New Guinea, are yet to ratify the UN convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
